Anyone have experience with this brand of dog food?
ByI recently found a dog food and I was wondering if anyone knew anything about it. It is Call of the Wild. They have a formula with Alaskan Salmon and one with Wild Fowl. There are absolutely no grains at all. The ingredients list includes things like sweet potatoes and even berries. I have newfies and I thought the Salmon formula would be good for them. Has anyone heard of this food?

I have never heard of it! But be very careful some dogs are allergic to wheat. If your dog is itching more than usual or is losing hair, try switching to a wheat free dog food. The dog food your using most likely contains wheat. Salmon is probabley good for them. But my advice is to never get a new dog food that is hard to figure out the ingredients or isn’t all natural.

Yes, I think you mean Taste of the Wild. It’s very good food, I’ve tried (er..my DOG has, I mean, yeah, that’s it, my DOG has eaten it) 3 flavors, all met with enthusiasm. My dog is currently eating the Wetlands Canine formula (quail, duck,& turkey)
Just be careful about transitioning from a dog food with grains to a grain-free food. You may have to make an even more gradual transition than usual. But you will be happy with the results. Improved coat quality, more energy, smaller stools, etc. Good choice~!

I’ve never fed it but I know people who swear by it. As far as I know it’s a good choice for any breed and fits well in rotation diets.
