It’s driving me crazy! They let the dog out every 2 hours, and all the dog does is bark until they decide to let it in. And when ever my dog goes out when the other dog is too, the other dog barks like crazy. I swear I’m going to lose my mind if I don’t find a way to shut that dog up!
(I have already tried to tell my neighbors that their dog really needs to stop when it’s 10 p.m ….. They didn’t do a thing..)

Dog barking when we leave home?

Posted by: | Comments (3)

My boyfriend and I got a rescue dog about 2 months ago. She is a great dog, but we have a problem.. She keeps barking when we leave! We just moved into a new apartment yesterday, and she is going nuts when we leave. How can we get her to stop? We don’t want to lose our place because of this! They are really strict about noise and dogs barking!

He’s generally an outdoor dog (he has plenty of shelter, Garage and porch), and storms haven’t noticeably bothered him in the past, but now there’s pretty heavy rain and loud thunder and every time it goes off he runs out of the garage, growling and barking, then returns quickly and sits behind my leg. If I go inside he whines at the window. I know he’s fine but he’s never been this distressed about anything before. He’s a yellow lab. Can anyone help or explain why he’s suddenly so nervous?

My new dog wont stop barking at night, I am not allowed to keep him in my room.He sleeps in our garage, but has a very warm house.Any ideas on how to keep him quiet at night? Its been going on for a while. I go down and try to keep him quiet by petting him, and as soon as I go up he starts to bark again.

I have a 12 lb. Cavashon mix, sweet, playful, friendly to all, dogs and people. If he is on a leash he barks loudly at other dogs. Even at people passing by.He does not growl, means no harm. The second he is released like in a dog park he is the friendliest dog there. It is ONLY when he is headed towards the park, sees other dogs and he can’t wait to get there.

I live pretty much out in the country and our nearest neighbor is a quarter-mile away. So there’s not a lot of people to let the dog adjust to new people. So anytime we get a visitor our dog will just constantly bark at them as soon as they start coming down the driveway, but she never bites them. It has actually driven the mail man away. Is there any way I can stop her from doing this?

My dog does not usually bark at other dogs when we are out but barks at any dog that is walking down the street when she is in the house. I tell her no but she does not respond. She continues to stay at the window and bark. If I try to approach her she runs and then attempts to go back to the window. She will sometimes jump on the door to go out when another dog is outside or has passed. How can I stop her from doing this?

I usually just stand still till the owner gets the dog away. (I was bitten by a dog once). But it seems to me that most owners find it offensive when someone thinks their dog might bite. What is the ‘correct’ thing to do here?

She is a little over a year and we live right in front of a dog park. Whenever she sees any other dog, she goes crazy and starts barking like crazy. It’s really loud and annoying the neighbors and us. She is not alerting us of danger, but rather wants to go outside and play with the other dogs. It’s louder when it’s a dog she is friends with. We are now forced to keep our blinds shut during the day and that sucks! She is a shiba-inu, spayed and really cute, but loud for a shiba-inu. It’s driving me and my wife crazy, please help!
