Do you believe in positive reinforcement or correction when it comes to dog training?
Posted by: | CommentsI don’t see anything wrong with using corrections when it comes to dog training, and yes, I do believe in positive reinforcement too, but in my opinion, you do need to correct a dog if they bite or growl, etc.
I’m asking this because I haven’t had a dog for a couple years, and I am looking into getting an Anatolian Shepherd Dog.
**When I say corrections I don’t mean abuse**

How do you find a good dog training program in your area?
Posted by: | CommentsOkay my dog is a year old and i want to go to a professional training program the reason we waited for a year is because most training programs i heard you had to be at least 16 to do and i am the one that will be taking him and i just turned 16. So i was wondering how you find a good training program? or find training programs in general? i got my dog from the SPCA

But when ever i google “dog training schools” it just gives me links like if i wanted to take my dog to a training school. Please help me if you know of a college that specializes in teaching people how to train dogs or be a dog trainer. Thank you.
Is 13 old enough to get my son started in dog training?
Posted by: | CommentsMy son has been going to the fights with me since he was 5 and he absolutely loves watching the dogs perform. I have not got him into the training side of it yet because I always thought he was to small to control a dog. Now that he is older though he will not stop begging me to teach him how to train them. Do you think a 13 year old is responsible enough to train.

So where can I get training in traing lol.thats all I’m worried about I have everything else figured out. Pls help.

How to open dog training business?
Posted by: | CommentsI am only 13, but I REALLY want to be a dog trainer. I think it would be so cool to help people train their dogs over the summer. My dog is really well trained, and we’ve even begun to work on our freestyle routine, but I just have no idea how I would start a dog training business, how much I would charge, and how I would get people to come and trust a 13 year old to train their dog. I will be 14 on Monday if that helps at all.
