Dog has some sort of infection or something on eye need help?
ByMy little chiwawa(sp?) that we have had for about a month now has some sort of eye infection I think the little pink thing at the edge of his eye has grown large covering about 1/5th of his eye is this something I should be worrying about? Or should it cure up in a couple of days

Just to be sure it’s nothing serious, the best thing you can do it to take your dog to a veteranarian. They will know exactly what it is, and what will cure it. Call tomorrow!!

It’s called Cherry Eye. You need to take him to the vet

Chihuahua!!! It might be a sty (sp?), but I’m not a vet. You can buy an antibiotic at most pet stores called terrimyacin (sp?)

Take the little chihuahua to the vet darling how would u feel if it went blind.If u are short of cash until payday or whatever just tell the vet up front,if he won’t do it put his name on here.Just a thought I have 2 chickawowas.Susie Wong and Coco Chanel

It certainly sounds like cherry eye. My Lhasa has had it in both eyes. I had the vet stitch them back in place. It is one of their tear glands. Removing them (which some vets suggest) is a bad deal because they can get dry eye later on and that is really bad it can cause blindness.
