Dog is vomiting and is restless?
ByMy dog threw up twice and he keeps pacing back nd forth and trying to dig he is very restless he can’t stay still he is calm but just for a few minutes. What do I do? He probably ate something during the day but I don’t know what.
What can I do so he can feel better??? I am concerned about him.

Comfort him, and talk to your vet.

Is he drinking water? If he isn’t that’s a big problem too because he could easily become dehydrated. Watch him for a bit longer, if he vomits again take him into the emergency vet. Either that or call the emergency vet for recommendation. It kinda depends on where he was while you were gone. Some things are more dangerous than others but check to see if his abdomen is distended (if his belly seems abnormally full and if it bounces back), also see if his stomach hurts when you press gently on it, if he winces or cries with pain you definitly need to take him in. I’d watch for any stools too and check those out.

Keep an eye on him, If he keeps vomiting and continues to be restless you should see a vet.Is he eating and drinking still? He may have gotten into something, but If he keeps vomiting he will become dehydrated. Last year I had the same problem- my dog was projectile vomiting every couple of hours through the night so I took her to the vet and found out that she had an obstruction in her intestines! She had surgery and was fine. I’m not saying this is the case with your dog, he may just have a tummy ache, But if it continues you really shouldn’t wait to see a vet. Good Luck

Hi,
Some dogs have a sensitive stomach or will even vomit on an empty stomach. As long as the dog is eating, drinking, acting normally, exhibiting no other signs of illness, and showing no increase in frequency of the vomiting, there is typically no reason to worry. Here are more info:
