Has anyone heard of/used athletes foot powder for a dogs ears?
ByI have a 10 yr old dog with pendulous ears, therefore they stay damp. Several times she has gotten what the vet calls a yeast infection and prescribe expensive meds. My friend who has a farm, several healthy dogs and s knowledgable about vet issues says I should sprinkle some athletes foot powder lightly in her ears. Comments?

I haven’t heard of such a treatment, but I can’t see it being something BAD… but I’m not a vet. Could you ask your vet? Or perhaps a different vet in your area for ideas?

NO NO NO!… if you want to use an organic sesame oil works well, there are products just for dog ears. be sure to keep their ears clean and free of mites, this causes them to scratch their ears raw. q-tips and peroxide is the best thnig to clean them with. you may need some help holding the dog to do this, but keep them ears clean!

It couldn’t do any harm, if on the box it says keep out of reach or children and pets, then don’t do it, but if it doesn’t go for it.
