Go to the hospital if it’s bad enough. Otherwise… we need more information.. are you bleeding? How long ago did it happen.

Well first off, make sure the dog has all his vaccinations and go to a doctor to get your leg checked out and make sure to wash it out so it doesn’t get infected. Your lucky that big of a dog didn’t do even more damage (Not saying rottwiellers are bad, just saying he’s big so your lucky :) )

If the dog broke the skin and it did more than graze you, you need to go to emergency room. Dogs saliva is ridden with bacteria. You will need to have the wound flushed out and an rx for an antibiotic. Advise the owner of the dog of the bite and check to see if the dog is up on its vaccinations. If the owner won’t cooperate, call your local animal control office and report the incident. If there is no animal control officer, call the local police department. If you know that the dog has bitten before, you really need to notify the authorities. Good luck.

Go to the ER; you may have all sorts of damage in there, and dog bites easily become infected.

If you haven’t had a tetanus shot or yours isn’t up-to-date, you need to see a doctor.

So, how deep is the bite? Is it completely through all the layers of skin and exposing muscle tissue? In that case, you’re going to need stitches. As for the damage, we can’t see it. Um, don’t really want to, either.

Do you know the dog that did it? It’s best to make absolutely sure that Mr. Rottweiler is up-to-date on his rabies vaccinations.

What was the circumstance in which the bite happened? Because there was the “shake” involved after latching onto your leg, it does not impress me as a simple bite but a real full blown problem that goes way beyond “aggression”, this dog was out to cause you real damage.

Has this dog bitten before? You should seriously consider reporting this bite. This is not trivial and not funny though I admire your humor in the situation (referring to the little “lol” thrown in there).
