If he bites your dog that means the dog is mentally violent and if you dont get another dog you could nuter him which would help

He is doing this to show dominance, and your dog chose your son to be dominant over. Let your son recover and once he is okay enough (physically and mentally), try some of the suggestions here from this site.

Why would you keep a dog that has and continues to attack your child? If I was a mother and a dog attacked my child like that it’d be dead; no questions. You need to get that dog to a no kill shelter where they can place him in a home that has no kids; or work on rehabilitation.
