mine done the same, he will stop this very soon,
its just his way of showing you he is happy and playfull,

he might need some dogy bones to keep his jaw active,

if you don’t do nothing it will become a habit….you should give it a small it hit or a tap on its nose when it tries to bite you

you can correct him gently by saying ‘uh-uh’ or something similar (i avoid no unless it’s something really serious) and then stopping play immediately for at least 10 minutes. he will learn that biting = no play and that’s no fun for him. be consistent and he should get it pretty quickly. be sure to reward him for appropriate behavior – such as chewing appropriately when you give him a toy or chewie. good luck.

He is a puppy, but he is far too old to be still biting you. When you get a puppy at 10 weeks of age, you start housetraining, crate training and you start teaching them right then and there to stop biting.

Dogs do not grow out of things.. Other than losing and getting new teeth, and losing and getting a new coat.. They just don’t grow out of things. They need to be taught not to bite, etc.. If you have left this til 7 months, then there are likely other areas where the dog needs more training. You should sign up for training classes and learn how to train your dog.

Add: Do not hit the dog.. Aggression builds aggression and when people tell you to hit the dog,
You are getting bad information and you will end up with worse problems.. Attacking ( even a flick on the nose or a slap to the head is attacking ) never teaches a dog not to bite or be aggressive… They become fearful or aggressive.

give him a stern no! and put your hand in front of his face as you say NO! or ignore him for a little while, when he does bite, he will soon get the idea.

Every time he goes and tries to bite say NO and give him a toy. It will take a lot of time. You have to somehow try and let him know what he’s allowed to bite. We are still working on it with our pup.

because the pup its teething

You are right to be concerned about the biting habit. You need to correct this behavior now! Stop any interaction with your dog when he bites. You can scold him and say “no bite” when he does attempt to bite. You can have a toy on hand to offer him when he tries to bite you. You can ignore him completely when he tried to bite.

Puppies will bite because they use their mouths like we use our hands. They bite because they are teething, because they want to play, because they want interaction or because they are greeting you. This does not make it okay! We have domesticated these dogs and they live in our human world. A dog biting another dog is okay, but a dog biting a human is not.

The bottom line is: he will not outgrow something you are allowing to happen! His behavior could escalate into a serious aggression. I would suggest taking him to a dog training class. And get out and walk your dog daily to work off some of his energy.

We make loud, sharp, quick noises whenever our puppy does something wrong. He has since calmed down a little, but overall, he still likes to play. We also show him extra loving and congrat’s whenever he stops right away after we “tell” him to.

Please keep in mind that my only basis for an answer is directly from my experience with my puppy. Every dog is different and any technique you use may or may not work with your puppy. Other than physical abuse (I, personally, don’t consider a tap on the nose or butt to be considered abuse), you should try anything and see what works.
Also, my experience is with a PUPPY; I’m not at all certain as to how most dogs “mature” regarding bad habit’s. I’m just trying to lend a hand in immediate attempts to rectify your problem.

Good Luck

when te pup bites you,you let him know that he has hurt you, by making an ouch sound, then looking at the bite like it really hurts, then stop play for a few mins, he should gradually realise that he hurts you and it’s not acceptable. DO NOT hit your dog as violence breeds violence!!!
