It could be a number of little things or big things. Your vet could only tell you that

I hate to break it to you, but considering your dogs age she may just be getting ready to pass away… I mean I HOPE that shes okay, but it`s definitely a good idea to take her to the vet. Just be prepared if its bad news. I honestly hope shes okay though!

Well it could be bladder, kidney, urinary issues. In older dogs sometimes they get incontinence, and a med like Proin could help build the bladder, but in older dogs, incontinence usually leads to other problems. When my shelties get to be 10-years-old, I get x-rays done. Dogs are masters at hiding pain, so it helps to know what issues and how many and what stages I am dealing with, so the vet knows what to do to help.

It may just be bladder weakness. Its common in older dogs, especially females. It’s nothing to worry about if its this, but as for the blood in the urine, could be an infection or something, so yes, good idea to take her to the vet.
If its bladder weakness, leave her newspapers or a special box to go in, she can’t help herself anymore.
It could develop into incontinance.
Good luck!

It could be something simple like an infection which antibiotics will clear up however some older dogs do lose control of their bladder functions as they get older – you vet should be able to find out what the problem is by doing some tests. Hope everthing works out okay for her!

Blood in the urnine is not normal. There is a definite problem, it points to a UTI but it could be something more serious.
She may be showing signs of extra thirst, make sure she has plenty of fresh water available.
It is NOT as sign that she is about to go and die btw.
