well i clean my dogs ears once a week…mostly because i dont want them to get infections…so it once a month…its better for ur dog.

how ever often you feel like they need to be, damp warm wash clothe is all you need, gently wipe out the inside

3

Once a week should be good, if hes an outside dog.

What breed is yours?
If its in the TOY list, then once a week. If it’s outside, but isn’t a big dog then once every 2 weeks, and if it is in the breeds of the big dogs, then once a month.

I`m not a professional but my Dog just went through an ear infection and the vet told me to prevent ear infections its good to clean the ears once a week…. hope that helps… it was yesterday that i went for a 2 week check up on the ears

If the ears are straight up like my german sheperds, every other month is fine, if they are down (cocker spaniel) once a week with ear cleaner from the vet.

To give you a good answer more info is needed. How many times you will need to clean the ears will depend on how dirty the ears are or if there is an infection. You really need to go see your vet. you are not going to know if something is really wrong, besides wax, unless you go to vet and it might never go away if medication is needed.

I have a chihuahua and a beagle mix- and I never clean their ears. If they’re healthy, you shouldn’t have to. Although, some breeds, like Spaniels have major ear problems and need cleaning.

Your vet will tell you!

Depends on the breed and the TYPE of ears. If they are ears that hang down like a poodle or daschund then clean at least once a week but check daily as dirt and wax gets trapped. If they are open like a shepherd or husky then check weekly and clean once a month. These dogs can easily brush debris out on their own but smaller particles still get trapped and can cause infections. When in doubt clean them out…daily. A few minutes can save you hundreds of dollars.

It would depend on the dog. Breed, illness and activity all play a role. For instance I almost never need to clean my dog’s ears but if they start getting an infection then I clean then 1 or 2 times a day with a proper cleanser.

If you need to cleanse them regularly and more then once a week I would ask you to have them evaluated by the vet to ensure their in no infection present.

Some floppy eared breeds like the cocker spaniel can need regular cleaning up to and over once a week but you must be very careful because the cleaning could make it worse.

It depends on the dog and breed. Some breeds like the ones with the long droppy ears are more prone to ear infections therefore they need to be cleaned more often.
