what do to do about my dog’s obsession with food?
Posted by: | CommentsI have two one year old border collie mixes. One is not so crazy about food as my other one is. my other one is so greedy. he’s not just an optimitistic dog, he goes out of his way to get food. no lie. he got me and my mom a couple of times laying down with his eyes close like hes sleeping, but if i go to the bathroom in less than a minute and come back his head would be in my yesterdays popcorn bag that was in my trash. a couple of weeks ago they jumped in my moms car. i noticed there was a bone in her car and i threw it in the woods covered by leaves and things. the next morning i let my dogs out and greedy dog ran straight to the spot i threw the chicken bone out. it’s like he remembered it. its bad enough he’s greedy, but he’s smart too. i have to feed my dogs in separate rooms because he would chow down his food and try eating my other dogs food. i already had tapeworm tests done on him. the last one in january. i know some dogs are just greedy, but i don’t know how to train him to not be or control him around food more. yes i do feed my dogs the right amount of food. theyre about 50lbs and i feed them 3 cups a day so i’m not starving them.
Why are people STILL ignorant about dog food!?
Posted by: | CommentsI have noticed that most of the time, when people recommend dog food, they don’t even know how to read labels. A few questions that I have answered today, have some very stupid answers. People will sit there and say that, Iams, Pedigree, Purina, Beneful (made by purina), Bites and bones, Ol’ Roy, and several others, with unsafe ingredients inside of the dog food. This INCLUDES science Diet!!! Then all of the ‘know it all vet techs’ ((NOT ALL OF THEM)) will sit there and say, Oh well, I feed _____ and it is not involved with the recall. But it actually is. And most people will go out and buy that particular dog food, just because someone says at the bottom, I am a vet tech, or i am a vet. Most of the vets I go to recommend iams, and I tell them, its not a god food, and I feed Timber Wolf Organics. Not many people know about it. Alot of people lie on YA and will make things up. I certainly won’t lie about being a vet, because I know im not.

my dogs ear smell so bad after he got his ears crop…its been only 5 days so the wound is still fresh…but i need to know if it suppose to stink….my vet is out of town…i dunno if that normal for and ear crop to smell………
