How to get dog to stop biting things?
Posted by: | CommentsMy dogs bark whenever some one makes a loud noise or knocks on the door. My other dog finds the nearest thing. Bites it and shakes it around. For example we have ripped couches,pillows, car seats, shoes,etc. how do I stop this?
how can you determine why a dog is biting and can they be retrained?
Posted by: | CommentsMy friends mother has a beagle she rescued some time ago. The problem is that from time to time the dog becomes very aggressive and from what I am told attacks various family members.Most of the time it seems to happen if you are reaching in her direction or you move toward her too quickly.Her mother has been told she should have the dog put down but I suspect abuse since they have no history from a previous owner.The dog has been this way since they got her.I am positive that there is retraining to correct this instead of killing the dog but we don’t know where to find the info we need.can anyone help?

Posted by: | CommentsMy female Papillon is a year old and we just got her spayed two days ago. She is taking it much better than anyone could have hoped for; she does not complain of pain in any way and she is as happy and energetic as she was before she went to the vet. Unfortuanately, this means that she’s discovered the stitches in her belly and is trying to remove them by scratching and biting! I can’t be with her twenty-four seven (I go to school, after all) and I fear that she’ll bite them out when I crate her for the night. Is there any way that I can stop this?
