Is it normal for the havanese breed (adult) to have protruding lower teeth (the lower teeth sticking out)?
We just found a dog perfectly healthy and we don’t know much about him, we were told he was a shih tzu but recently found out that he is in fact a havanese
any suggestions will help
thaaaanks! :)

i’m looking at buying a puppy thats cute and has nice eyes, e.g really light blue/green eyes that stand out like how it does with a husky or pitbull.. i’m not really looking for a big dog, more small to medium but not to small or not to big

I can not tell what she is, but she has some pretty strong characteristics. ie: she barks like a hound dog, she is stubbern and she has a tail with a downward curve in it like it is broken or bent or something. she is white with a few butterscoth or lemon colored spots on her. her brother is the same, but he has dark brown eyes. what the heck are they? they have pretty large paws too, so they seem like they could get really big. Plus, they grow like weeds…any ideas?

Maybe the weimaraner but when researching this breed I have read a different history dating back to the 1800′s. The breed of dog I am looking for may be grey also and is a more muscular looking dog with blue eyes (they say that’s why this dog was bread by hitler grey with blue eyes). Dog may have been for war.

My puppy’s breeder spays/neuters all of their puppies before the babies go to their new homes. They have a reputable vet who is very knowledgeable with juvenile spay/neuter. Their puppy’s have never had any complications from the early altering, and are happy and healthy.

My was concerned with it, and stated that because of this my puppy will have some serious issues with her urinary tract when she gets older. I was able to locate a web site that had some information regarding that. They say that ovariohysterectomized females may be prone to urinary incontinence. Vulvar in-folding occurs in females spayed prepubertally that maintains an infantile vulva to a more infantile form. There is no evidence to support a hypothesis that age at gonadectomy would affect onset or progression of either problem.

It also said that currently available information indicates that early spay and neuter is a safe procedure. I know that early spay or neuter surgery is quick, qith minimal bleeding and quick recovery. I guess my concern is just the welfare of my puppy. I am just wanting her for a pet, nothing more – just to join my family and become a loved member who I can spoil and pamper. She is a Chihuahua, and both of her parents are in great health. The breeder is very responsible – her dogs are all in her home, and are well taken care of.

She is current on her shots, spayed, and micro-chipped too. I am just leery that I am going to be taking home a constant vet bill/worry… and will be dealing with urinary tract problems through out her life. I would be sad to forfeit my deposit and not adopt her… but I just want a healthy puppy.

Any input would be appreciated.
The puppy is almost 10 weeks and her spay scar is now completely healed. It was much smaller many spay scars I’ve seen – it looks rather like a dot than an actual incision.

I do not have the puppy yet, as I’m concerned she’ll have problems with urinary tract issues – which is what my vet said…

what dog breed would be best for me?

Posted by: | Comments (16)

I dont want a HUGE dog I really like the small ones, but meduim is fine too. I’m leaning towards a mixed breed, but a purebred is fine. Okay so i’m 16 i never had a dog before, i want a dog thats pretty playful but is relaxed too because i sometimes like to relax and sit or i have work to do and of corse i’m planning to go to college, so sometimes i might be busy. I would want one that can swim , i have a pool and i swim all the time, smart dog..easy to train..good with other pets and kids.. listens to you… affectionate… forgiving maybe…

anyways i saw a shetland sheepdog the other day, i thought they were pretty cute. maltese/poolde and cocker spaniel/poodle mixeds are cute too.
