Is there a reason for this? and if so what should we do for it?

Posted by: | CommentsMy dog has had a pretty bad ear infection all his life please help, he is 10 years old now, to old to go under anesthesia. he crys everyday trying to scratch it. i need pills that will uninflame his ear. any ideas?
i have gone to a veteranarian and he said that there is nothing they can do because he will have it all his life no matter what, they just cleaned his ear out and thats about it. we did get pills one time and they worked very well, im going to take him to the vet TODAY!!!!!!!
i have gone several times to the vet to get his ears clean, it seems that its just costing me 1000′s of dollars just for them to clean his ears and say theres nothing they can do, last time i went was maybe last year because he has been on these pills that helped him. but now we have to get a percription to get some more.
there is no way my german shepherd will let me clean his ears, if i touched the base or went a little bit inside his ear he would cry.
please help me.. it’s concerning my dog?
Posted by: | Commentswhen i got home from work a couple of days ago my mom told me that my dog (which is a poodle) started yelling and screaming.because somehow he just started walking around with his head side ways. and it’s been like that for almost four days now..we took him to the emergency vet and they gave him pills to take because they thought it was strip throat..well he’s still shaking his head because i guess it still bothers him.but i just want to know what’s wrong. i don’t know what else to do. some one help me
dog has heart failure. what should i do to help her live longer nd happier?
Posted by: | Commentsokay so i just took my dog to the vet and found out she has heart failure and a liver problem. and she refuses to eat anything but carrots and cheese. is this okay? i want to do everything i possible can to make sure she lives as long as she can but idk what to do. is there some kind of excersize i should make sure she gets? and what kinds of food do i feed her that isnt animal food because she wont eat it anymore. she is always doing that cough thing because of the heart failure and i always pet her head while she goes through it so she doesnt feel lonely, but im worried she doesnt want me to do that..should i be with her or should i leave her be? give me any avice on how to take care of her so she can live longer and happier please.

Ohkkay My dog was laying on me when i was asleep and i had deoderent on…when i woke up…we went to a different room,And he started shaking his head wildly i kept showing him water and he drank some,so im kninda worried will anything happen?Becouse im not sure if he licked my arm pet…or something…:(

Posted by: | CommentsI bought a 6 week old baby chihuahua, the owners told me they were breeders and they breed dogs all the time. When we met to see the dog, I noticed the dog’s eyes were a little weird, so I asked them, why are his eyes like that? They responded, it’s his first day in the sunlight since he was born. So I was like ok maybe these people know what they’re talking about since they’re breeders. So I bought the dog, since there was nothing wrong with him visibly at the moment.
I get home and his stools were covered with tape rooms. From my knowledge, for the stool to be infested with tapeworms, the dog must’ve had the worms for A WHILE! . I took the pup to a friend of mine and he told me the dog was not normal because of eyes and not normal shaking. So I called the OWNER of the pup, or the guy that sold it to me and told him to please refund me my money because it was NOW clear that pup was sick. He told me he would give me my money back ONLY if I had a note from the vet saying he’s not normal. So, I did what he asked, and now he wont refund my money and answer any of my calls. I did not pay alot of money for a SICK DOG! Point is, if they’re SO CALLED BREEDERS, wouldn’t they know he was sick??? The vet said pup has disease that will kill him in months if not treated, but to fix him is THOUSANDS of dollars! Vet also said disease was HEREDITARY!

HELP advice for a dog with heart worms!!?
Posted by: | CommentsI just got home visiting my family and my little brother’s dog has heart worms. He is a rat terrier, about 20 lbs and he at the end stages of category 4. I called several vets and they all make you feel like garbage. He has swollen up, he is eating quarts rocks from around my parents pool. He is almost 15 years old wich is pretty old for rat terrier. He was an indoor dog for maybe 2 years but being a male he loved being outside and only wants to come inside when its raining or thundering or very cold out. I have tried finding info on line but nothing telling me about a dog his size, or his age. I could be crazy and maybe my parents are right he just getting old. My folks and I dont have much money at all. This is probaly were we sound like bad owners but times are tough and we can afford approx 100 bucks. An old friend of mine told me on the phone to give him a quarter of pill of benedryl for some dogs have allergys to heart worms. When i gave him the benedryl he fell asleep, woke up 2 hours later and wasn’t weezeing and went back to chaseing birds and random things in the yard. He has so much life left in him but ive been told that a dog his size can’t have the poisonious shots or the surgery for there is a very good chance he can die. Plus lets be real, he is old so age isn’t on his side. Any ideas what i should do? I told my parents to let him live his final days out in the yard, where he loves to be, and if he dose collapse or anything like that we put him down to save him his misery. I dont know what to do because im caught in teh middle right now, maybe thats why im rambleing.. SO any advice?
a little bit of extra info. the benedryl helped allot more than most give it credit. Its not that we couldn’t afford the treatment. My parents have been giveing him the heart worm meds because of the treatment he was on for them for the past few years. I went to the vet office my self and spoke with the vet. Come to find out little man has kidney failure and any treatments concidering his age would be in vain. I got some prednizone (pardon the spelling) from the vet and if he worsens then i will bring him back to vet. thanks everyone who wrote.
How long do i have with my family pet? his lungs are still clear, and seems to be ok.
