I had an American Eskimo dog that had pointy ears and this person told me the breeder must have done something to them.

My female Papillon is a year old and we just got her spayed two days ago. She is taking it much better than anyone could have hoped for; she does not complain of pain in any way and she is as happy and energetic as she was before she went to the vet. Unfortuanately, this means that she’s discovered the stitches in her belly and is trying to remove them by scratching and biting! I can’t be with her twenty-four seven (I go to school, after all) and I fear that she’ll bite them out when I crate her for the night. Is there any way that I can stop this?

This is a parody of Nelly’s Just a Dream. Just a Dream is one of those great songs that just sticks in your head and you keep humming it throughout the day until you get to the point where you start to make up your own lyrics. This is what I came up with. I thought it turned out well. Much more entertaining than a dog biting a shark video where you can’t really even see the dog bite the shark. Anyway, turns out after checking on youtube, I wasn’t the only one who was inspired to put different lyrics to this song. I’ve seen the others out there like Krispy Kreme, Listerine, and there was another popular one about ice-cream. Our spoof mentions ice cream(Rocky Road, Mint Green & Cookies and Cream), but we have a different take on it. The video features our boys Chip and Chow in the lead roles. Chip, who has appeared in a number of movies already, actually took home the award (not exactly the Oscar) for best actor. And for Chow, it was remarkable that he was awarded the best supporting actor with this being his first full length feature film. You may remember Chip (Trae) from his popular Best Leprechaun Trap film a couple years ago. www.youtube.com His other most remarkable performance to date was his portrayal of the incredible hulk / Dr. David Banner a couple of years ago www.youtube.com I apologize for the soundtrack. We don’t have any sound editing software so you just get raw vocals recorded on one take in our basement. In a lot of the other Nelly parodies and spoofs of

Dog that was just spayed, dragging butt?

Posted by: | Comments (6)

My dog was just spayed Monday. Everything went great. Today she’s started dragging her butt on the ground outside. I’ve checked her stools, and no sign of tapeworms(which we dealt with a long time ago with a cat,so I know what to look for) why is she doing this? Could this be some sort of complication of the spay? Twice today she has been walking, and then she just stops and yelps like you stepped on her paw, but nobody did. Lasts about 3 seconds, then she’s fine and starts walking again. Should I call the after hours clinic, or is there a reason for this?
So, why would her bum be itching from her spay? She doesnt even have the traditional 5 inch scar. She had a laproscopic (sp?) spay, one little hole in the middle of her belly. I guess I will call then.
She does not have fleas. She is on Frontline.

Around 10 minutes ago I went out to play with her with her favorite toy. And I threw it across my backyard and it looks like in landed right next to some of her poop, and I have a fairly clumsy dog and it looks like she may have tripped and fallen into her poop because the second she walked away she kept shaking her head and foam would go flying out of her mouth.

A couple minutes later I wiped all of the foam off and her nose (which appeared to be covered in mud and maybe some poop?) And one of her paws was all dirty with I don’t know what.
Help?
I’m pretty sure she doesn’t have rabies because she is acting like her normal self so far.

I think my dog just had a seizure!!!?

Posted by: | Comments (7)

my dog was laying on the ground, than all of a sudden she goes rigid, and flops to her side. She starts flailing her legs and shaking her head violently. she started slobbering a lot. It lasted a good couple minutes, she would kind of calm down, and seem like she was regaining consciousness, and then she would tart to tense up again.

after a couple minutes of laying on the floor completely out of it, she stands up, and starts walking around, than she starts coughing, and hacking up some gross brown liquid…

than, all of a sudden she’s fine. now she’s happy, and running around happier than she’s been since we got her…

some history on her: she’s a ten year old Schnauzer, and we just adopted her yesterday. she was being neglected (we’re not sure if she was ever physically abused) and animal control rescued her. She’s been kind of mopey around the house since we got her and I assumed that was because she was in a new environment, and just a little scared, but once that happened, she’s been happy, and running around perfectly fine…

does anyone know anything about seizures in dogs, is this going to be a prolonged problem, or is it just a weird thing that happens every now and than?

if it ever happens again, what am I supposed to do? I noticed that she had a little blood on her tongue when it was over, and I’ve heard that people will stick spoons in people’s mouths, is that a good idea??
I would just like to be prepared if it happens again…
I’m at my mom’s house in Arizona, I don’t know any vets here, and my step-dad has the car! I can’t leave right now!

and, she’s ok right now, we’re going to take her to the vet when he gets back, but I’m looking for ways to help her if it happens in the future. But thank you all for being complete a$$holes.
