Archive for much

my dog is having ear irriation and i have been reading that apple cider vinegar works best to clean the ears out and kill yeast and bacteria.
how much of it should i use and how should i put it in her ear?
will the vinegar burn her or cause her harm in any way?

also, can i use mineral oil directly after to soothe her ears?

I just got a 6 year old Huskie/Shepard mix and she is a big dog, and the biggest problem with her is it doesn’t matter how much i brush her, there is hair every where, Is there something I can do so she doesn’t loose so much hair???
Just to let everyone know, I have had this breed of dog before, what I was looking for was information for shedding, If there was something else I could do..

We just moved to a new state with colder temperatures and she seems to be shedding much more than usual. She is a Red Healer/ Australian Shepherd mix and is about six years old. How much shedding is normal and is there any way to control it?

My dog, who is 9 years old, has had catteracks for about a year now, but over the past 6 months they have become worse, and judging from the amount of things that she bumps into, her vision is extremely blurred. They are now in both eyes, but her left eyes’ sight is the worst. Could anyone possibly tell me how much on average it would cost to have them removed?

Thank you.

I have a little jack russel chihuahua mixed pup and she’s a little over a year old now. We brush her daily but we still seem to be finding more clothes rugs furniture and goodness knows what else that are now white because they are caked from her fur. I don’t know what to do anymore but I was wondering whether there was some type of shampoo or something that will lower her shedding.

I just heard on the news this morning that the government ‘cannot afford’ to provide for the Pets for Wounded Vets project. Those dismembered, suffering from PTSD, blinded, loss of jobs, homes and at times children & families.

I then researched the pork projects in the new stimulus package which our politicians found more worthy of our tax dollars. Here are just a few.

5 M for Democratic Political groups such as ACORN and other ‘community organizing’ organizations.

20M for removal of small to medium sized fish barriers.

25M to rehabilitate off roading ATV trails.

34M to remodel Dept. of Commerce headquarters.

70M to “Support Super Commuting Activities for Climate Research”.

25M for tribal alcohol & substance abuse rehab. (I’m sure our wounded vets are self medicating with these substances, what are we doing for them?).

160M for PAID VOLUNTEERS at the Corporation for National & Community services. (I’m sure these are liberal programs for ACORN like organizations). Also a lot of this 160M would provide jobs for people who lost their jobs & businesses in this economy. It could save a lot of foreclosures.

I don’t think providing dogs to our wounded vets would be too much to ask for the sacrifices they faced and will continue to face for a lifetime. Such a small thing to give a wounded vet for companionship, laughter, safety and the responsibility & joy of caring for a pet.

This morning I searched the site “Pets for Wounded Vets” and sent a measly $10.00 donation and plan to continue this monthly. I wish I could do more but I live on S.S. and am struggling on my own but none of my problems can compare with what our wounded vets endure. Guess people like myself will have to try to pick up the slack because our liberal politicians have other priorities like repaying lobbyists for donations & votes, living lavish lives, using private jets, living in luxurious homes, driving big cars, jet setting vacations for their families. Once we elect them they forget that they represent us. Not Obama, Pelosi, Reid or their own party!

Seems to me that this administration does not hold our military & heroes in much esteem. All they seem to want to do now is investigate and apologize for the U.S.

They will soon have to reinstate the draft. Why would anyone want to volunteer to put up with the disrespect and lack of care they are being given.
BASH: It didn’t go through. Too Bad

My little dog has very rotten teeth, some have already fallen out, from the beginning, brushing has not helped at all. I have no money and my only option to not lose him to infection is to try to pull the loose ones out myself, but it’s not going to be easy, I don’t want to hurt him, but have no choice. Any ideas to put him out briefly or to numb his mouth?

Journeys

When I adventured far from shore
   I felt a loss of self-control
I felt I touched another soul
I felt myself as less than whole.

I’ve seen that look in travelers’ eyes
as if they’d been that way before
as if they’d roam forever more
as if they needed to explore.

I’ve been to children’s yesterdays
where starlight shines in every eye
where rainbows fill the morning sky
where even cats and dogs can fly.

I’ve heard the stirrings of the dead
whose faces fill a dismal day
whose voices echo neath the quay
whose presence is a breath away.
