What do I do about dog hair shedding?

By

My dog seems against being brushed or pet with one of those hair collecting gloves. Though it’s short hair, it’s everywhere and I can’t stand it. Should I bathe him more than I do to help him shed the hair in the tub instead of my bed??

Train him to at least tolerate brushing by giving him treats.

Other than that you’ll just have to vacuum a lot.

Nope. Bathing more will not help. Feed him a high quality diet and buy a shedding blade.

Dogs shed, that just one of the things you commit to when you get one.

Use furminator shampoo and conditioner! It’s amazing! I have been grooming dogs for 4 years and I use this stuff all the time. Owners love it too! It can be a little expensive, but it is very concentrated so you need very little of it. It gets out so much hair in the bath and really cuts down on shedding.

Vacuum a lot and get your dog to let you brush him.

I have two dogs and have same problem. Bathing more will not help it makes it worse. Got to train him to be brushed. Also I got this powder from vet to sprinkle on food it does help alot. But of course you have to clean clean clean.

let him roll when he’s outside or run under low branches. he’ll bush himself

You must learn to work with your dog. He doesn’t allow you to do it, so you don’t do it. He wins! Take baby sets in teaching him that it OK to be brushed. Or take him to a professional Groomer on a regular basis.

im pretty sure there isnt much you can do… a dog will shed all year round. i mean you cant sit there and brush him all day. your just going to have to keep up with the mess and get used to it. my dog sheds when he gets scared nervous happy… and he is short haired pit bull
