What Good dog food brand should i feed my 4 months old puppy?
ByI have a 4 months old Shiba Inu / Husky mix. The recent brands of dog food ive been feeding him were Royal Canine puppy (Stopped because he was allergic to corn), Premium Edge puppy formula (doesn’t seem to like it.), Natural Balance Ultra Premium , and lastly Purina ProPlan puppy formula. He really liked Natural Balance and Purina ProPlan but, I was wondering are there better brands of dog food to feed to my pup? (with no corn as ingredients please)

I’m not sure if their is corn in it, but my dogs love Beneful by Purina dog chow. My dogs went through a lot of dog foods before we found one they liked.

Because hes a puppy he has a very sensitive stomach right now, I would suggest Natural Choice Lamb and Rice. I have two boston terriers that love it and it keeps their coats shiny. I would suggest picking one food and sticking to it. He might not like it right away but give him time to adjust to something new.

The best is the Purina that you listed. That is what we feed our dogs because it lengthens the life span.

My dog is very old so i can’t really help you there, but the best thing to do is to talk to the breeder or pound or where ever you got him from, and see what they feed/fed the dogs that they have had.

Merrick Puppy Plate
Wellness Just For Puppy
These are 2 good ones off the top of my head. Check this site for food rated 4 or more stars: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com
Avoid products like Iams, Eukanuba, Science Diet, Ol’Roy, and anything by Purina. They’re all low quality.

Natural Balance is great, so if he likes it, I would stay with that.
My puppy like Natural Balance and my brothers puppy like Pedigree.

Natural Choice foods are good, but kind of expensive. My best advice would be to pick one food and stick with it… The dog is going to get confused if you keep switching their food. It may take them a few days to get used to the food or get hungry enough to eat it, but they eventually will.

Basically any kind of dog/puppy food you can find in a grocery store or store like walmart is bad food. It has a bunch of fillers and cheap ingredients that make it hard for a dog to digest. Go to Petco or Petsmart or a local pet store for food.
Some good options are:
Wellness
Blue Buffalo
Chicken soup for the dog lovers soul
EVO
Innoeva
There are a lot more so just look around those brands and that is the type of food that will be good for your puppy.

We use Iams puppy chow for our puppies.
I’m not sure if there’s corn in it or not.
Never change food all at once! mix them together, or your dog could get sick.
Iams (while a little expensive) is one of the best puppy foods a dog could have. And it helps with brain development.
