What is the best overall dog food?
ByA lot of people trust the veterinarian to give their dog the best food, like Science Diet, but a prime ingredient is whole grain, and most dogs are allergic to whole grains. So aside from Science Diet, what is the best dog food.

People say that Pedigree is the best food. It keeps them healthy , and it tastes like real food.

I use Now! Grain Free dog food. It comes in puppy and adult formulas, as well as a senior formula. I use this and it is wonderful, all natural food. It costs about the same as a veteranarian food.

Orijen, the only diet better than this food is BARF a.k.a RAW.
Orijen has 70% real, organic, human grade meat as their main ingredient. They have no grains. And they include veggies and whole eggs. Being such a high protein food you just have to watch how much you feed so they dont get fat.

the best dog food is what works best for your dog.
My dog did terrible on Science Diet, so I currently feed Taste of the Wild. I plan on going to a raw diet this summer when I’ll be able to raise my own meat.

Science Diet and other brands invest a lot of money to get vets to sell/recommend their food…it’s not based on nutritional value.
Foods that are high in meat,low in fillers are the best.Like you mentioned,many dogs do better on no/low grain foods.

Wellness is a really good one
so is halo
Orijirn
Solid gold
all of these dont have corn or by products or fillers
i ahve my dogs on wellness n doing great on it

Science Diet is a crap food.
I have my dog on Innova Evo Red Meat Small Bites and she’s thriving on it. Other good ones I found from my research are Orijen and Wellness.

Hi Sparky,
There are a lot of opinions out there in regards to what is the BEST dog food. Each dog has individuals needs and it is best to do a little research and decide for yourself. As a general rule of thumb though, any food sold at the grocery store is junk full of undesirable ingredients.

Taste of the wild is a great puppy and dog food !!! you can get it online and if you go to the website you can find stores near you .. they wont be at walmarts and the like… they are in feed stores ..
NO fillers..corn…gluten..grains…by products!!
