In some parts of the world, a close encounter of the Spectral Black Dog (glowing eyes optional) kind might signal portents of death/change, or so some folk believe.
Britain, in particular, plays host to quite a number of Spectral Black Dogs, including the Gurt Dog (Somerset); the Shuck (Norfolk) and Old Shock (Suffolk) from the Old English word “scucca” meaning “demon”; and the Pooka (Ireland), sometimes referred to as a Black Dog of Death.
In Finland you might find Musti. In Armenia, Siaw (“The Black”) attends the dying as the Hound of Death and a guardian of the threshold. Some Russian folk believe in Chernobog (lit. “Black God”) who always appears as a black dog. In the nuclear power plant disaster of 1987, the similarity of the name Chernobog to Chernobyl caused great distress amongst some Russian people, by the way.

It means a close loved one will grow an unusually large wart in their rectal area. Disregard this sign, as it does not affect you or your wellbeing.

It’s a death omen. “Hell Hounds” are the devil’s servants that bring souls to hell.
