Why do cats behave like this?
ByI have noticed from having both dogs and cats that if you put something on a cat’s head, he will lower his head and try to back up to get it off. However, if you put something on a dog’s head he’ll shake it off. Why don’t cats do this also? It’s very curious how they react.
that’s interesting LoveMyLab…both our cats just back up and lower their head, very weird.

My cats shake it off.I put a bow on their heads last year trying to get a picture of them in front of the tree but both shook the bows off immediately. (No tape on the bows, didn’t want to pull their hair)

because i think cats are more cautious than dogs. dogs are much more playful and careless then cats, wich is what makes them fun!! but cats are very more curious and they want to know what the thing on their head is before taking it off! I am not very sure, but i think that would be the logical explanation. hope that answers your question!!

Dogs shake when they get wet , Cats lick I guess that is their make up and there is no real answer.
