Why is our dog’s eyes doing this?
ByWe have a Shitzu and recently her eyes have begun to emit mucus from them I think its the pollen in the air affecting her but could it be a cold? Any replies will be a great help Thanx.

It’s the breed. Shitzu and Lhasa apso (sorry about the bad spelling) are noted for having weepy eyes.
You need to keep her eyes cleaned with specially designed wipes from the pet store or boiled cool water and cotton wool. If you do not keep this weeping under control then she will get an infection as dirt will build up on her damp fur. Clean her eyes with boiled water 4 times a day for 3 days, if this does not improve then you will need eye drops from the vet.
